Most tow trucks in Pakistan are either flatbeds or wheel-lifts. Choosing the right one protects your car and your wallet.
Flatbed tow truck
The whole car is winched onto a flat bed and strapped at the wheels. No wheel touches the road.
- Best for automatic gearboxes, hybrids, 4x4s and low cars
- Best for accident cars with damaged wheels or suspension
- Safest for long distances
Wheel-lift
The truck lifts the front or back wheels and the other two roll on the road.
- Quick and usually cheaper for short city tows
- Fine for most manual cars over a few kilometres
- Not ideal for automatics over long distances unless the driven wheels are lifted
Crane / boom lifter
For cars in basements, ditches or lanes too narrow for a flatbed. See car lifter service.
